Buckhannon finished seventh in hammer throw with a mark of 179' 8" on Friday at the Jesse Owens Classic. On Saturday, Buckhannon traveled back to Berea to compete in the Sparky Adams Invitational, where won the hammer throw with a mark of 176' 9" and won the shot put with a distance of 41' 1¾" . She is currently ranked #5 in the nation for hammer after her performance at Jesse Owens and is ranked #48 in shot put.
