John Carroll Women's Swimming & Diving Collects Eighth Straight Title

CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL | FINAL RESULTS

 

AKRON, OH – The John Carroll women’s swimming & diving team captured the 2024 Ohio Athletic Conference Championship for the eighth straight year and 24th of all-time.

The Blue Streaks totaled 912 points over the four-day event. Mount Union placed second with 769 points, Baldwin Wallace finished third with 499 points, Ohio Northern finished fourth with 489 points, Wilmington placed fifth with 290 points, and Heidelberg finished with 60 points in its first year competing.

John Carroll sophomore Olivia Goodman captured her second straight OAC Most Outstanding Swimmer award, which has now gone to a Blue Streak the last six years.

Mount Union sophomore Claire Fried took home the OAC Most Outstanding Diver award, as she won the three-meter dive and took second in the one-meter.

John Carroll fourth year head coach Tanner Barton and his team were also awarded as the Most Outstanding Women’s Coaching Staff. Barton and his staff of Lewis Fellinger, Ian Bishop, Larissa Czupik, Taylor Epstein, and Westin Fishel have won this award three years in a row, and seven of the last eight years.
