Westerville, OH-Mount Union women have been tabbed as the favorites in preseason voting by the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Lacrosse coaches.
Mount Union tallied 47 points (five first-place votes), followed by Capital with 43 points (two first-place votes), John Carroll with 39 points (one first place vote), Marietta with 29 points and Baldwin Wallace with 24 points.
Mount Union, under the direction of second year Head Coach Bethany Snider, will look to build on last season’s success. The Purple Raiders finished the 2023 season with a 14-5 overall record, 7-0 against league opponents, to capture the OAC Regular-Season title and advanced to second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Mount Union will open the season on February 24 at Washington and Jefferson.
