2023 Golf Coach of the Year
Otterbein head golf coach Brian Booher has been voted the OAC Men's and Women’s Golf Coach of the Year by his peers. Booher led both Cardinal golf teams to OAC championships over the past two weekends.
On the women’s side, the Cardinals bested Ohio Northern by 38 shots over three days and 72 holes, winning its second-straight OAC title. All five players in Otterbein's lineup finished in the Top 10, earning All-OAC status. The Cardinals were led by freshman Becky Williams winning the individual title with a 309.
On the men’s side Otterbein placed first with a 1167, 25 shots above Capital who finished with a score of with a score of 1192. Otterbein finished with four golfers earning All-OAC honors in Ian Johnston (289), Carter Woodward (291), Sam Lahmon (295) and Colin Bibler (295).
Both Cardinal golf teams are gearing up for the upcoming NCAA Division III Golf Championships. The women’s championship is May 9-12 at Mission Inn Resort & Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. The men’s championship will take place May 16-19 at Keene Trace in Nicholasville, Kentucky.
