Heidelberg senior Kathleen Phillips (Sandusky/St. Mary’s) led the Berg to a 2-0 start on the season. Phillips recorded a game-high, school record breaking 40-points in an 83-79 in a win over Pittsburgh-Greensburg on Friday. Her 40-points eclipsed the single-game scoring record which has stood for over 30 years. She finished with a double-double, 40-points, ten steals and three rebounds, while going 13-of -14 from the free throw line. Phillips followed up her 40-point performance with 20-points on Saturday in a 90-60 win over Hilbert College. She finished with 20-points, seven rebounds and three assists, while going five-of-six from the line.

Baldwin Wallace junior Audrey Smolik (Strongsville) helped the Yellow Jackets to a 3-0 record and the BW Invitational Tournament title with wins over No. 12 Calvin, Case Western and Defiance. Smolik averaged 15 points and five rebounds-per-game. Smolik shot 16-of-26 from the field and 12-of-14 from the free-throw line.

John Carroll senior Missy Spahar (Willowick/Lake Catholic) posted a career-high 32 points and grabbed12 rebounds to help the Blue Streaks knock off Carnegie Mellon 93-79. Spahar shot nine-of-12 from the field and 14-of-15 from the free-throw line.

John Carroll senior Missy Spahar (Willowick/Lake Catholic) averaged 29 points, nine rebounds, 2.5 assists and two steals-per-game to lead the Blue Steaks past Mount Union and Ohio Northern. Spahar matched her career-high with 32 points against Mount Union on Wednesday and recorded 26 points and 12 rebounds for her second double double in the last three games against Ohio Northern on Saturday.

Capital senior forward Jamie Caton (Hilliard/Hilliard Davidson) led the Crusaders with 25 points and seven rebounds-per-game at the Hope Post Exam Jam to earn All-Tournament team honors. Caton recorded 24 points, nine rebounds, four assists, four blocks and six steals to lead Capital to a 73-65 victory over Robert Morris-Springfield on Friday. She tallied a career-high 26 points to go along with five rebounds and four steals against sixth-ranked Hope.

Baldwin Wallace senior forward Lexi Rohrbach (Tiffin/Columbian) scored 18.5 points and grabbed 9.5 rebounds-per-game on the week to lead the Yellow Jackets to wins over Mount Union and Waynesburg (Pa.). In the two games, Rohrbach made 13-of-22 shots from the field and was 11-of-13 free-throw line. She also has a steal and blocked shot.

Marietta senior guard Tori Dixon (Londonderry/Vinton County) led the Pioneers to a 2-0 record last week with wins over Hiram and Ohio Northern. Dixon averaged 18 points, 2.5 rebounds, four assists and 1.5 steals-per-game. Dixon shot 12-of-24 from the field, including eight-of-15 from three points range. The win over Ohio Northern snapped Marietta’s14-game losing streak to the Polar Bears.

Capital senior guard Cookie Geroski (Fostoria/St. Wendelin) posted a career-high 27 points and led the team with eight rebounds and three steals in a win against cross-town rival Otterbein on Saturday. Geroski shot eight-of-14 (.571) from the field, including six-of-six from three-point range and was five-of-seven (.714) from the free-throw line.

John Carroll senior forward Missy Spahar (Willowick/Lake Catholic) led the Blue Streaks with 32 points, 8.5 rebounds, two assists, 3.5 steals and 1.5 blocks-per-game last week. Spahar posted a game-high 36 points and 12 rebounds in a loss to Baldwin Wallace. Spahar led the Blue Streaks past Marietta with game-high 28 points, five rebounds, three blocks and four steals. On the week, Spahar shot 24-of-40 (.600) from the field, including two-of-four from three-point range and hit 14-of-15 (.933) from the free-throw line. JCU is currently tied for first place in the OAC with Baldwin-Wallace with a 7-1 record.

Otterbein sophomore Amariah Huck (Zanesville/Tri-Valley) turned in a pair of double-double performances to help the Cardinals to a 1-1 record. Huck scored a career-best 33 points and 15 rebounds against John Carroll. She finished the week with 21-points and 12-rebound in a 78-58 win at Muskingum. Huck shot 21-of- 32 from the field and 12-of-16 from the free-throw line.

John Carroll senior forward Missy Spahar (Willowick/Lake Catholic) led the Blue Streaks to a 2-0 record last week, averaging 33 points, 5.5 rebounds and three steals-per-game. Spahar moved into second place on the JCU all-time points list (1, 674) when she scored a single-game career-high 37 points against Mount Union on Wednesday.

Ohio Northern junior forward/center Jordan Kimes (Lexington/Northmor) led the Polar Bears to a 2-0 record last week, averaging 24 points and seven rebounds-per-game. Kimes scored a career-high 33 points and grabbed six rebounds in a win over Otterbein on Thursday. Her 33 points was the fourth most in a single-game in program history. In a win against Muskingum, Kimes had a team-high 15 points and eight rebounds. On the week, Kimes shot 22-of-31 from the floor (.720).

Baldwin Wallace sophomore Alissa Munro (Mansfield/Lexington) scored 28 points, grabbed eight rebounds and made seven three-pointers in just 34 minutes of playing time to lead the Yellow Jackets past No.22-ranked John Carroll and Marietta and move into first place in the OAC standings. For the week, she shot eight-of-13 from the floor (.615), including seven-of-11 from three-point range (.636) and made five-of-six foul shots (833).

John Carroll senior Missy Spahar (Willowick/Lake Catholic) led the Blue Streaks to a 3-0 record last week and a share of the first OAC Regular-Season title in program history. JCU has earned the No. 2 seed in the OAC Tournament. Spahar averaged 24 points, nine rebounds, 2.7 assists and two steals-per-game last week. She has now become JCU’s all-time leading rebounder and all-time leading scorer.
