John Carroll senior Ally Kleinhans (Washington, PA/McGuffey) was named OAC Co-Hitter of the Week for her triumphant return to the softball diamond Saturday in the annual "Strike Out Cancer" game at Bracken Field against Marietta College. Kleinhans, who has missed parts or all of three seasons of softball during her six years at John Carroll due to complications associated with Hodgkins Lymphoma, collected a single in one of her four at bats. Although her health prevented her from playing a full season in her final year of eligibility, she spent months working toward a goal of getting at least one at bat on her senior day, and fulfilled that goal Saturday.
