John Carroll sophomore catcher Carly Simecek (Solon) helped the Blue Streaks to an 8-2 record at the Dot Richardson Spring Games. Simecek went 11-for-18 (.611) at the plate with a pair of homers and drove in 10 runs. She had two-for-four outing with a home run and three RBIs in a 6-5 win over Johnson & Wales. Simecek capped the trip with a two-for-three outing with a three-run home run in a 6-5 win over Saint Mary's (Minn.).
