2013 Past Runners of the Week

Ohio Northern senior Mark Berton (Findlay/St. Wendelin) finished second out of 60 runners at the Bluffton Invitational. Berton completed the 6,000-meter course in 19:30 to lead the Polar Bears to first place out of three teams.

Mount Union junior Dan McGeary (Worthington/Thomas Worthington) finished second out of 83 runners at the Ric Sayre/Walsh Invitational with a time of 26:10.8. The Purple Raiders tied for first place with John Carroll out of six teams.

Ohio Northern senior Mark Berton (Findlay/Fostoria St. Wendelin) led the Polar Bears to a second place finish out of 13 non-division I teams at the Vanderbilt Commodore Classic in Nashville. Berton finished fourth of 118 runners with a time of 26:06.

Mount Union sophomore Alex Wilson (Macedonia/Nordonia) took home top honors out of 210 runners at the Otterbein Invitational to help the Purple Raiders to a first place finish. Wilson completed the very wet 6k course in 26:10.6.

Mount Union junior Dan McGeary (Worthington/Thomas Worthington) took third out of 143 Division III runners and 23rd out of 289 total runners for all divisions at the All-Ohio Championships. McGeary posted a time of 25:58.3 to lead the Purple Raiders to a fourth place team finish.

Wilmington senior Alek Erwin (South Vienna/Northeaster) finishing third overall at Benedictine's Eagle Invite to lead Wilmington to fifth place out of 17 teams. Erwin covered the 8,000 meter course in 25:42:00, the fifth fastest time in school history.

Ohio Northern junior Nathan Rosenbaum (Orrville) was the top OAC runner at Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble with a seventh place finish out of 283 runners. Rosenbaum covered the 8k course in career-best time of 25:31. ONU finished 6th out of 31 teams.
