WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University senior Jason Heisler and John Carroll University senior Annie Meunier have been named the OAC Divers of the Month for January for their accomplishments in the pool this month.
OAC Men's Diver of the Month - Jason Heisler
Heisler earns his first monthly honor after going a perfect 6-0 in diving events, including a flawless mark in OAC competitions.
He opened the month by winning both the 1-meter events against Oberlin College on January 11. Heisler won the five-dive event with 164.90 points and the six-dive event with 271.95 points.
He then took over OAC competition as he won the 1-meter with 306.55 points and the 3-meter with 309 points against Ohio Northern University on January 18. Heisler closed out the month by winning the 1-meter five-dive and six-dive events with 182.03 and 309.90 points at home against John Carroll University on January 24.
This season, he is undefeated in dual meet competition with a record of 12-0. Heisler did not lose in OAC action as he posted a record of 6-0. For his career, Heisler is a four-time All-OAC diver. He is a two-time NCAA Division III Regional Diving Championships qualifier.
OAC Women's Diver of the Month - Annie Meunier
After breaking a 23-year-old program record, and then re-breaking it again a day later, Annie Meunier capped off the month of January with a bang.
On Friday, Meunier felled Stephanie Turner's 1 Meter Diving record (445.50) that occupied an honored spot on the JCU Swimming & Diving record board for many years. Meunier achieved a tally of 452.25 in an 11-dive routine amidst a 167-76 victory on Friday.
Then on Sunday, Meunier one-upped herself. One of the Blue Streaks honored on Senior Day, Meunier achieved an even better score. The senior snagged a score of 465.35, just over 4 points better than her previous best. Meunier secured her NCAA B cut for the upcoming NCAA Division III Diving Regionals, which will be held from February 28-March 1.
This is Meunier's third time winning the award, as she garnered it twice in 2023.
