Hathaway lead the Purple Raiders to a fourth-place finish at the Wooster Invitational, winning the 200-yard backstroke (1:51.85) and the 100-yard backstroke (50.93). He also finished third in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 1:55.17 and was a member of the second place 200-yard freestyle relay (1:24.86) and 800-yard freestyle relay teams (6:59.78).
