Westerville, OH- John Carroll men have been tabbed as the favorites in preseason voting by the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Lacrosse coaches.

John Carroll tallied 79 points (seven first-place votes) followed by Baldwin Wallace with 73 points (two first place votes), Capital with 63 points (one first place vote), Ohio Northern with 61 points and Mount Union with 43 points in the men’s poll.

The Blue Streaks won their seventh consecutive OAC Tournament title as the No. 2 seed (15-3 overall, 8-1 OAC) and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament last spring. They will look to continue their success under the direction of eighth year Head Coach Joe Rautenstrauch.

JCU opens the season at home on March 2 against The College of Wooster.
