Muskingum sophomore Christian Keller (Newark) scored a career-high 33 points to lead Muskingum past Oberlin, 87-74, in its season opener. Keller hit 10-of-17 from the field, including seven-of-eight three-point shots. He also added five assists, four rebounds and one steal.

Wilmington junior R.J. Leppert (Liberty Twp./Lakota East) helped the Quakers to a 65-63 win over Div. I Miami (Ohio) with 23 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, one steal and four blocks. Leppert shot eight-of-10 from the field, including four-of-four from three-point range and went three-of-five from the free-throw line.

Baldwin Wallace junior guard Jaron Crowe (Mentor) scored 24 points, grabbed four rebounds and passed for six assists to lead the Yellow Jackets past Olivet (Mich.), 101-89. Crowe shot six-of-11 from the floor, including four-of-seven from three-point range and was eight-of-10 from the free-throw line.

Mount Union sophomore Cody Dillon (Newton Falls) averaged 20 points and three rebounds-per-game to lead the Purple Raiders to a 2-0 record on the week. Dillon scored a career-high 35 points, including 13-of-17 from the field against John Carroll and set the OAC record for three-point field goal percentage in a game with 72.7 percent (eight-of-11), previously held by Justin Clifford (Muskingum) set in 2002-03. He also tied Mount Union's individual single game record for three-pointers made.

John Carroll junior forward Jake Hollinger (Chardon) helped the Blue Streaks to an 81-67 win over Capital and recorded his second career double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Hollinger shot seven-of-13 (.538) from the field and three-of-four from the free-throw line (.750) and passes for two assists and tallied five blocks.

Ohio Northern senior forward Dominique Royal (Columbus/Pickerington) scored career-high 23 points to lead the Polar Bears to an 87-82 win over Otterbein on Wednesday. Royal went 10-of-15 from the field and also pulled down seven rebounds

Ohio Northern senior guard Branden Rushton (Columbus/Reynoldsburg) led the Polar Bears to 2-1 record last week, averaging 25.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and two assists-per-game. On the week, Rushton shot 32-of-49 (.653) from the field, including 11-of-14 from three-point range (.786). Rushton scored a career-high 31 points in win at Chapman, added a team-high 25 points against Trine and tallied 21 points in win at Cal Tech.

Wilmington senior forward Malcolm Heard II (Wilmington,Ohio) led the Quakers to a 3-0 record last week with wins over Heidelberg, Capital and John Carroll. Heard II averaged 17.7 points, 9.7 rebounds and two assists-per-game. He shot 18-of-31 from the field (.580), including six-of-nine from three point range (.666) and 11-of-16 from the free –throw line (.680). Heard II posted a double-double against Heidelberg with 23 points and 11 rebounds and John Carroll with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Mount Union senior guard T.J. Gillespie (Toledo/St. John’s) led the Purple Raiders to a 2-0 record, averaging 17.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists-per-game. Gillespie hit a free-throw with 0.8 seconds left in the game to lead Mount Union to a 73-72 win against Marietta to remain in first place in the OAC with 7-0 record. Gillespie finished the game with 21 points, three rebounds and three assists. He tallied 14 points, three rebounds and two assists in a 93-80 win over Wilmington. On the week, Gillespie shot 11-of-17 (.647) from the field, including five-of-nine (.556) from three-point range and hit eight-of-10 from the free-throw line (.800).

Wilmington senior forward Malcolm Heard III (Wilmington, Ohio)led the Quakers last week with back-to-back double-double performances, averaging 30 points and ten rebounds-per-game. Heard scored 28 points and tallied 10 rebounds in just 27 minutes in win over Ohio Northern and then scored a season-high 32 points and 10 rebounds against Marietta. Heard shot 20-of-31 from the field and was 18-of-22 from the free-throw line.

Muskingum senior guard Dave Brown (Coshocton) broke the school record for consecutive free throws made when he connected on his 45th straight during the second half at John Carroll last week. He entered the game with 35 consecutive free throws made. The previous record of 38 was set back in 2003-04. On the week, , Brown averaged 23 points, two rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals-per-game and connected on 26-of-27 free-throws (.963).

Baldwin Wallace senior guard Kevin Krakowiak (Valley City/Holy Name) averaged 32.5 points and six rebounds as the Yellow Jacket split a pair of OAC games last week. Krakowiak scored a career-high 36 points and set a school record with nine three-pointers in a loss to first place Mount Union on Wednesday. He scored a game-high 29 points, including six three pointers and grabbed six rebounds in a win over Wilmington on Saturday. On the week, Krakowiak shot 21-of-42, including 15-of-23 from three-point range and was eight-of-nine from the free-throw line.

Ohio Northern junior guard Isaiah Roux (Orlando, Fla./Lyman) led the Polar Bears to a 2-0 record last week, averaging 23 points, 2.5 rebounds and four assists per game. Roux scored 20 points in a 96-86 win over Heidelberg. He then scored a career-high 26 points and grabbed five rebounds in a 90-85 win against league-leading Mount Union. On the week, Roux shot 16-of-22 (.727) including five-of-seven from three points range and was nine-of-12 from the free-throw line.

Wilmington senior forward Malcolm Heard II (Wilmington) helped the Quakers secure the No. 3 seed in the OAC tournament with a 26-point, 10-rebound effort against Mount Union on Saturday. On the week, Heard averaged 21.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, two assists and 2.5 blocks-per-game. He shot 12-of-22 (.545) from the floor and 18-of-23 (.783) from the free-throw line. This is the third time this season Heard has been name OAC Player of the Week.
