As announced on Tuesday morning, Marietta College men's basketball senior forward Sahmi Willoughby has been selected to the D3hoops.com National Team of the Week. The Team of the Week presented by Scoutware is D3hoops.com's weekly honor roll, in its 27th season of recognizing the top performance at each of the five positions from the previous week.
Willoughby led Marietta to a pair of wins last week. He scored 15 points, grabbed eight rebounds and blocked two shots in Marietta's upset of No. 24 Mount Union hitting 5-of-7 from the floor, including 3-of-4 from three-point range. He followed that with 22 points and 24 rebounds hitting 9-of-13 shots, including 3-of-5 from three-point range in Marietta's win over Baldwin Wallace. His 24 rebounds set a school single game record.
