Mount Union senior Mitch O'Hara (Avon, Ohio / Lakewood St. Edward) and Ohio Northern junior Brock Martin (Attica,Ohio /Seneca East) have been named to the Academic All-America Div. III Football First Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The pair was named First Team Academic All-District 7 in June.
O'Hara graduated in May with a 3.72 GPA as an exercise sciene major. He played in 42 games and was a two-time All-OAC linebacker. O'Hara was recognized as a 2021 OAC Clyde Lamb recipient as one of the top 10 male scholar athletes in the conference.
Martin carries a 3.72 GPA as a construction management major. He has started in 24 career games and was named Second Team All-America as an all-purpose player in 2019. This past spring Martin was third in the OAC with 317 rushing yards and an average of 79.3 rushing yards per game.
