2022-23 All-Sports Trophy Standings Winter Update


WESTERVILLE, Ohio — Following the 2022-23 Winter season of basketball, indoor track & field, swimming & diving and wrestling, John Carroll University is currently leading the 2022-23 Tim Gleason All-Sports Trophy standings for the men with 57.50 points and Ohio Northern University is leading for the women with 46.50 points.

John Carroll accumulated 29.50 total points on the men’s side during the winter sports season. The Blue Streaks won a seventh straight Ohio Athletic Conference Championship in men’s swimming & diving, and the men’s basketball team tied for first place in the regular season. Additionally, the men’s indoor track & field team placed second in the OAC indoor track & field championship.

Mount Union currently stands second with 51.50 total points, benefitting from an 11th straight indoor track & field Ohio Athletic Conference title and a tie for first place for the men’s basketball team in the regular season and a first-place finish in the OAC tournament. The Purple Raiders men’s basketball team is currently making an impressive run in the NCAA Division III men’s basketball tournament, playing in the national championship game Saturday, April 18 for the first time in school history. Ohio Northern lands in third with 41.00 points. Baldwin Wallace and Otterbein round out the top five with 36.00 and 35.00 points, respectively.

On the women’s side, Ohio Northern collected 21.00 points during the winter season, benefitting from a women’s basketball Ohio Athletic Conference regular season title and tournament title. The Polar Bears made an impressive run to the Sweet Sixteen in the NCAA Division III women’s basketball tournament. Additionally, the women’s indoor track & field team placed third at the OAC championships.

John Carroll stands second just one-point shy of Ohio Northern. John Carroll earned 9.00 points from a second place finish from the women’s indoor track & field team at the OAC championships. Otterbein lands third in the women's standings with 35.00 points. Mount Union is in fourth place with 34.5 points, earning 10.00 points from the women’s track and field team winning a second straight conference championship. Baldwin Wallace rounded out the top five with 34.00 points.
