The Purple Raiders are coming off a strong 2024 season where they won a third straight and 10th overall Ohio Athletic Conference Championship. Graduate Kenadee Wayt added two National Championships to the program at last year's Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship, where the team finished sixth overall.
Mount Union returns 13 All-OAC honorees, inlcuding Mary Mason, who broke the school record in the 800-meter run with a 2:11.82, and Maddy Miles, who was named a finalist for the 2024 NCAA Woman of the Year award. Mason and Miles each qualified to the National meet last year as Mason qualified in the 800-Meters and Miles in the 400-Meters.
The Purple Raiders are led by head coach Kevin Lucas, who is in his 15th-year at Mount Union. Next on the schedule for the Raiders is the Jud Logan Memorial Meet at Kent State University on Saturday, January 18.
