NEW ORLEANS, La. -- Mount Union grad student
Kenadee Wayt (Wheeling, W. Va. / Wheeling Central Catholic) has been named NCAA Division III National Field Athlete of the Week by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Wayt got her season off to a hot start breaking the Division III record for the 300-Meters running a 39.33 besting the record by .13.

Wayt came back and ran two 60-Meter races with times of 7.68 and 7.69 which would be the eighth and 10th best Division III times this season, but she already has the top time in the nation with a 7.58 ran earlier in the season.

This is Wayt's first national award this year and third of her career.
