Austintown, Ohio--John Carroll senior Colleene Grombala has been named The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Third-Team All-American. Grombala is one of just 57 players across the country receiving this honor. She has become the first Women's Lacrosse All-American for JCU and the OAC.
She led the NCAA with a program-record 103 goals, adding 34 assists for another program-record of 134 points. Grombala also led the team with 118 draw controls and added 34 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers this season. For her efforts, she was voted OAC Offensive Player of the Year.
Grombala led the Blue Streaks to the team's first OAC Regular-Season title, OAC Tournament Championship and the program's first NCAA Tournament win.
