Otterbein's Wierzbicki and Mount Union's Heath named CoSIDA Academic All-America

Otterbein senior Katrina Wierzbicki (Powell/Bishop Watterson) and Mount Union sophomore Grace Heath (Beloit / West Branch) have landed on the 2021 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America Softball team, announced Tuesday, July 27. Just 33 student-athletes were selected, with 11 landing on each team. 

Heath landed on the second team and carries a 3.94 GPA as an accounting and finance major. She was named OAC Player of the Year and earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region and All-America accolades.

Wierzbicki, a third team selection, graduated in May with a 3.97 GPA in biochemistry and molecular biology. She played both outfield and shortstop and finished her career with a .334 batting average.
