ADA, Ohio—The Mount Union men's track and field team won its 13th straight and 41st overall Ohio Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field title Saturday afternoon at Ohio Northern University.
Mount Union took home the team title with 178 points 46 points ahead of second place Baldwin Wallace which had 132 points.
Vincent Giumenti picked up the OAC Outstanding Distance Runner of the Meet as he won the Mile and the 1,000-Meters in times of 4:11.82 and 2:31.08.
Ryan McVicker was the OAC Champion in the shot put on the final throw of the meet with a toss of 53-feet 11.75-inches which is currently tied for 12
th in Division III.
Ryder Greenwood was the OAC Champion in the 200-Meters with a time of 22.09 and was the OAC runner-up in the 60-Meters with a time of 6.84, this time currently has him tied for 17th in Division III.
Tyler Kohlmann was the OAC Champion in the 800-Meters with a time of 1:56.01.
The quartet of
Brady Burrey,
Haden Gibson,
Josh Fouche and
Yahir Hill were the OAC Champions in the 4x200-Meter relay with a time of 1:29.82.
Fouche, Hill, and Greenwood teamed up with
Calil McCray to earn All-OAC honors placing third in the 4x400-Meter relay with a time of 3:23.02.
Scoring in the mile behind Giumenti was
Alex Reese and Cale Borland in fourth and sixth overall.
In the 1,000-Meters Matthew Tschantz and
Liam Blake earned fourth and seventh for Mount Union.
Stephen Ulrich brought home fourth in the 3,000-Meters.
Xavier Neal took home fifth in the triple jump for Mount Union.
Brailon Wilcox and Tex Malloy placed fifth and sixth in the 60-Meters.
Wilcox along with Gibson scored sixth and seventh in the 200-Meters for the Raiders.
Dylan Easterling picked up a seventh-place finish in the 800-Meters.
Carter Lewis also picked up points in the shot put with an eighth-place finish.
Mount Union will now compete in the last chance meet hosted by Ohio Northern next Friday and Saturday in Ada.
