Campbell booked his ticket into the national consolation final by swimming a school record time of 49.01 in the preliminary session Friday morning. It was the 12th fastest time of the session.
Prior to Campbell, Eric Richmond was the last male Blue Streak to place top 16 at the national meet (400 individual medley, 12th; 200 individual medley, 15th; 200 breast, 15th).
Gwyn Ledrick became a two-time All-American in her career when she earned a place in the consolation final with a morning swim of 1:04.48, which was the 14th best time of the preliminary round. In the evening, Ledrick clocked in at 1:04.59 to earn 16th place.

John Carroll will have three events on the final day. Ledrick will swim the Women's 200 Breast, followed by freshman

Ledrick will swim as the #12 seed in heat three of four. Lenz is the #29 seed and will be in heat one o four. The 400 Free Relay is seeded #21 and will be in the third of three heats. The top 1-8 in all events qualify for the national championship final, while places 9-16 will qualify for the national consolation final.
