Spaulding, Kadlic Named to USILA National Team of the Week

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association and Blatant Lacrosse announced the National Team of the Week ending March 31, 2024 and featured on this week's team were senior attackman Mason Spaulding and freshman goalie Luc Kadlic

These selections mark the third and fourth of the season for Capital men's lacrosse. For Spaulding this is his second USILA award of the season and the third of his career, while Kadlic is a first time winner of this honor. Kadlic was also named the OAC's Defensive Player of the Week this week.

In the 8-6 win over Ohio Northern, Spaulding was directly involved in seven of the team's eight goals as he finished with six goals and one assist. He also picked up four ground balls and caused one turnover.

In that same game, Kadlic had himself a career-defining day as he was officially credited with 15 saves while conceding a season-low in opponent goals (six). His 71.4% save percentage was complemented by three ground balls as well.

So far this season, Capital student-athletes have been recognized as National Team of the Week or National Player of the Week in their respective sports nine times.
