Final Results

HINCKLEY, Ohio - The Otterbein University men's golf team cruised to an 11-stroke victory at the annual Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Fall Invitational on Monday afternoon at Pine Hills Golf Club.

The Cardinals, which have now won the fall conference event each of the last five seasons, used a 14-stroke advantage over Capital after Sunday's first round of play to propel them to a double-digit victory over second-place John Carroll.

Otterbein compiled a 587 (289-298) over 36 holes of action on the par-72 course totaling 6,748 yards, placing two of its competitors inside the top-10 and five players overall inside the top-20.

Senior Austin Wells led the way for the Cards and paced the field of 63 golfers en route to top-medalist honors after firing a 140 (67-73), finishing four-under par in the event.

Freshman Spencer Gifford checked in for a four-way tie for eighth-place with a 149 (72-77), while classmate Johnny Peck also enjoyed a stellar showing for a share of 12th-place overall with a 150 (76-74).

Senior Tyler Elgin (74-78) and sophomore Kurt Fortman (78-74) were next on the board for the Cardinals, each earning a piece of 15th-place after scoring a 152 to round out the team score.

Otterbein will welcome a three-week break from competition to prepare for the Mount Union Fall Invitational on Oct. 15-16, an event which will wrap up fall play for the Cardinals.
