Austintown, Ohio--Following an historic 2021 season, Marietta senior Jason Ellis (Marion, Ohio/Marion Harding), John Carroll senior Jackson Sartain (Medina, Ohio/Medina) and Mount Union junior Braedon Poole (McDonald, Ohio/ McDonald) have named to the D3hoops.com All-Great Lakes Region Team. The D3hoops.com awards are based on nominations from various Sports Information Directors at schools across the Great Lakes Region.
Ellis, who earned first team recognition, was named the OAC Dick Reynolds Player of the Year and ranked in the Top-10 of the OAC in several statistical categories including scoring (15.5 ppg), field goal shooting (51.4%), three-point shooting (52.5%), free throw shooting (95.0%), assists (46) and steals (15).
Sartain landed on the second team after averaging 19.8 points and 3.5 rebounds-per game and providing 23 assists and 11 steals on the season. Sartain is the active NCAA Division III career leader in 3-pointers made (320).
Poole was tabbed second after averaging 15.7 points, 9.9 rebounds, 2.4 blocks and 1.9 steals per game this season.
