Young led the Pioneers past Muskingum and Ohio Northern, averaging 20.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game. He shot an impressive 76.2% (16-of-21) from the floor and 62.5% (5-of-8) from three-point range. He added five assists and five steals. 

In Marietta's win at Muskingum, Young was nearly perfect shooting 9-of-10 from the floor, including 4-of-5 from three-point range, for 22 points. He also dished out 4 assists and had 3 steals. Against ONU he was 7-of-11 from the floor and finished with 18 points.
