Marietta junior post player A.J. Edwards (Twinsburgh) led the Pioneers to a 3-0 record last week including a 92-90 win over No. 6 Catholic University in the Shrine Tournament Championship game. Edwards was named the Cliff Rose Most Valuable Player after recording a team-high 20 points and seven rebounds in the title game. Edwards also recorded a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds against Bethany. For the week, Edwards averaged 17 points and 9.0 rebounds-per-game. He blocked a total of seven shots and was 15-of-19 (78.9%) at the free throw line.
