John Carroll senior forward Simon Kucharewicz (Brook Park/Midpark) averaged 16.5 points and 8.5 rebounds-per-game to lead the Blue Streaks to a pair of victories at the Land of Magic Classic in Daytona Beach, Fla. Kucharewicz scored 19 points in just 17 minutes  and was eight-of 10 from the field as JCU defeated Brockport State 115-94. He recorded a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds in an 89-68 win over Bridgewater State. On the week, Kucharewicz also added four assists, three steals and two blocks.
