MARIETTA, Ohio — Marietta College senior defensive lineman
Chance Knight (Bridgeport, Ohio/Linsly School) was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week following the Pioneers' 54-10 win over Capital University this last Saturday.
Knight led a Pioneer defense that wreaked havoc over the Comets, limiting Capital to just eight first downs, 34 yards rushing, and 158 total yards of offense.
The senior sacked the Comet quarterbacks three times and was involved in five total tackles. One sack was in the endzone for a safety and another caused a Capital fumble. He had 3.5 tackles for loss, resulting in a loss of 14 yards, and forced a fumble.
The Pioneer football team will be back in action on Saturday (Oct. 5) as they welcome in Ohio Northern University, scheduled for a 3 p.m. kickoff.
