WESTERVILLE, Ohio — Following the 2024 fall sports season of men's and women's soccer, football, volleyball and men's and women's cross country, Mount Union is currently leading the Tim Gleason All-Sports Trophy standings for the men and John Carroll is leading for the women.
Mount Union accumulated 29.00 total points on the men’s side during the fall sports season. The Purple Raiders men's soccer team won the OAC regular season, finishing 8-1 in the conference and 15-5-1 overall. Mount Union football sealed its 33rd undefeated regular season and won its 35th OAC Football Regular-Season title, and are currently in the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Football Playoff. Additionally, the men's cross country team finished second in the conference championship, with three runners earning First Team All-OAC by placing seventh, eighth and ninth.
John Carroll currently stands second in the All-Sports standings with 26.50 total points, benefitting from an fourth straight Ohio Athletic Conference cross country title, a second place finish in the football standings, and a successful men's soccer season that ended in the conference tournament. Ohio Northern lands in third with 22.00 points. Otterbein and Baldwin Wallace round out the top five with 16.50 and 15.00 points, respectively.
On the women’s side, John Carroll collected 26.50 points during the fall season, highlighted by a fifth-consecutive women’s cross country title. The Blue Streaks finished as runner-up in the OAC women's soccer championship and finished second in the conference standings. Additionally, the volleyball team earned 7.50 points for John Carroll as they tied for third in the conference and advanced to the semifinals of the OAC Volleyball Championship.
Ohio Northern stands in second place in the Tim Gleason All-Sports Trophy Standings with 24.75 points. The Polar Bear Women's Soccer team won the program's sixth OAC Tournament Championship and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship. The women's cross country team finished in second at the OAC Championships, with four runners earning all-conference status. Otterbein lands third in the women's standings with 24.00 points. Mount Union is in fourth place with 16.50 points and Marietta rounds out the top five with 15.50 points, with 9.50 points coming from a first ever OAC Championship from the Volleyball team and runner-up finish in the OAC Volleyball Championship.
