Ohio Athletic Conference

Commissioner Sarah Otey has announced the promotion of Lindsay Miller to Associate Commissioner

Ohio Athletic Conference Commissioner Sarah Otey has announced the promotion of Lindsay Miller to Associate Commissioner.

Miller, who has served as the conference’s Director of Information since 2006, will continue to oversee OAC sports information and will take on enhanced responsibilities related to conference championships and governance.

“In many ways, this change is consistent with the great work Lindsay is already doing for the OAC,” said Otey.  “Over the years, her role has expanded far beyond that of a traditional sports information director, and I am excited for her title to reflect her ever-evolving role.”

During her tenure with the OAC, Miller has played in instrumental role in the growth of the conference’s digital footprint – including the OAC TV venture.  She has also supported championship operations, managed all OAC awards and served as the primary administrator for several OAC sport committees.  Going forward, Miller will retain those responsibilities and also play a primary leadership role in facilitating communication across OAC governance entities and establishing strategic community partnerships.

“Based on feedback from OAC administrators, coaches and student-athletes, the OAC office will take on an enhanced role in ensuring the OAC and its institutions continue to be nationally competitive on the field while also pursuing a more influential role in the leadership of college athletics,” said Otey. “Lindsay’s role as Associate Commissioner will put her in a position to best support those efforts.”

Miller’s promotion is effective immediately.
