Capital senior forward Kristen Thompson (Cincinnati/Colerain) led the Crusaders to a pair of victories to defend their Marriott Columbus Airport Tournament title. Thompson averaged 25 points and 14.5 rebounds-per-game and shot 15-of-19 from the field. Against Misericordia, Thompson recorded the first of two double doubles with 17 points and 10 rebounds. In Capital's 79-70 overtime win over No. 11/12 Calvin College, Thompson scored a career high 33 points and tallied 19 rebounds.
