John Carroll junior guard Katlyn Spahar (Willowick/Lake Catholic) averaged 33.5 points, six rebounds and 3.5 steals-per-game to help the Blue Streaks to a 2-0 record last week. Spahar shot 21-of-41 (.512), including 10-of-12 from three-point range and was 15-of-17 from the free-throw line. She helped JCU overcome a double-digit deficit against both Otterbein and Mount Union. She scored 42 points against Mount Union, which is the second most points scored in a game by a Blue Steak (45 pts.-Lee Jennings vs. Bethany 2010).
