Men's and Women's NCAA Soccer Championship Selection Shows

 

One women's and three men's OAC soccer teams have been selected to play in the NCAA Division III Soccer Championships.

 

Women's Soccer

John Carroll (2023 OAC Tournament Champions) are heading to the Division III Women's Soccer Championship for the first time since 2001 (second time in program history).

The Blue Streaks will travel across town to Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, opening against Cortland on November 11.

 

Men's Soccer

Ohio Northern earned an automatic bid to the Division III Men's Soccer Championship by winning the OAC Men's Soccer Tournament on Saturday. This will be their tenth NCAA Tournament appearance in program history.

The Polar Bears will travel to Lynchburg (Va.) for the first two rounds of the tournament on Saturday, opening against Lynchburg.

 

John Carroll earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship. This will be the seventh straight year (excluding 2020 due to COVID-19) the Blue Streaks have been in the NCAA tournament, and their 12th appearance overall.

The Blue Streaks will head to Mary Washington (Va.) this weekend and play against St. Mary's College of Maryland in the first round.

 

Otterbein (2023 OAC Regular Season Champions) earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship. 

The Cardinals will travel to nearby Kenyon this weekend and open against Washington College (Md.).

 

All tournament games leading up to the national semifinals will be played on the campuses of the competing institutions. Sixteen sites will host four teams for first-and second-round competition on Nov. 10 and 11 or 11 and 12.

Second-round winners will advance to one of four sectional sites on Nov. 17 and 18 or 18 and 19. Winners of the four sectionals will advance to the national semifinals, which take place on Dec. 1 at Kerr Soccer Stadium in Salem, Va., with Old Dominion Athletic Conference and the City of Salem serving as hosts. The men's national championship game will be played on Dec. 3. The Division III women's soccer national semifinals and championship games will also be held at Kerr Soccer Stadium with games on Nov. 30 and Dec. 2.
