Otterbein's Clement and Mount Union's Parker Named to Trevor Hudgins Award Top 25 Watch List

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Otterbein guard Jack Clement and Mount Union forward Christian Parker have been named to the Top-25 Watch List for the inaugural Trevor Hudgins Award, presented to the senior who has had the finest overall four-year career within Small College Basketball.

This award was announced at the Small College Basketball Hall of Fame Ceremony back in November. It will now be presented annually to the senior who has had the finest overall four-year (or longer) career within NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, USCAA or NCCAA. Considerations are overall career statistics and achievements, team achievements, awards, and personal character. The player must have played his entire career at the small college level.

Jack Clement, playing his fifth year of eligibility at Otterbein, currently leads the Cardinals and ranks top five in the OAC for minutes (31.8) and points (16.4) per game. He is also sixth in three-point percentage, shooting nearly 40% behind the arc. Clement spent his first four years at Ohio Wesleyan, and was named NCAC Player of the Year following the 2022-23 season, as well as second team NABC All-American honors and D3Hoops.com fifth team All-America honors.

Christian Parker leads the purple raiders and the OAC in points (20.8) and blocks (1.8) per game, and is third in the conference for rebounds per game (8.7). Parker was named the OAC Player of the Year last season and a D3Hoops.com first team All-American. This season, he has been the Ohio Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week three times and named to the D3Hoops.com Team of the Week twice. He is also a Top 100 finalist for the Small College Basketball's Bevo Francis Award.

Clement and Parker are also joined on the list by former Baldwin Wallace guard Anthony Mazzeo, who is now playing his fifth year at Case Western Reserve.

The Top 15 will be announced on March 1 before a video announces the finalists on April 5. The winner will then be announced through another video at halftime of the NCAA Division I national championship game on Monday, April 8 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
